She says it's fitted and the colours are deep and rich yet darkly masculine (and certainly does not refer to the purple as "lilac" or "lavender" in his presence).
I think that Kyle is handsome anyway and that the sweater only makes him more so. But since when has a teenage boy listened to what his mother wants hime to wear! LMAO
Well, I love it and gladly wear it. Kyle really thought that he would like it, or maybe he was just being sweet because I wanted to make it for him so much. Anyway, this is Kyle wearing
Kenny is trying to make a sweater selection for some Iro that he has and has asked for input. Now I know that you are all very shy, but that you do have opinions. Canadians can practice their voting by going over and letting Kenny know what you think.
It doesn't look terribly fitted on Kyle - I made it so that he could grow into it a bit. (I have truly deluded myself into believing that he may still want to wear it at some future time!) My only change for this sweater would be to shorten up the armholes a bit.
the sweater looks excellent on him - you don't really see the purple but strong men aren't intimidated by colours like pink or mauve - he should wear it with confidence!
ReplyDeleteKyle does look very nice in that sweater. You must be very proud.
ReplyDeleteI think the sweater looks great on him, but what do I know ... I'm only a mother too. *lol* You did a wonderful job. :)
ReplyDeleteIt looks fantastic...you have a handsome boy there!!
ReplyDeleteThe sweater looks great but I can kinda agree with Kyle. It's a bit much for a teenage boy. My teenage cousin only wears solids and mostly blue, black, tan, and white. It's the "whole blending in and not standing out" thing. I can see him really pulling it off when he's a little bit older and more confident with the color scheme.
ReplyDeleteHi,Wannietta it is your cousin Donna. Kyle looks great in the sweater but from one mom to another mom with teenage boys I know that Brent and Cody would not wear the sweater either. That is just not the style they like to wear these days. I do not even buy them clothes anymore i just give them money and they buy what they like. Their taste is so different then mine.I think you did a great job though.
ReplyDeleteI love it and think Kyle is truly handsome, but I do think it is not quite masculine enough. Love the colors!
ReplyDeleteYour son is very handsome and looks great in that sweater. However, I used to work as a highschool teacher until last year . . . and I'm sure that he'd rather wear something hideously gross like all the other boys in high school.
ReplyDeletePerhaps its good that you made it big. Perhaps as he matures, his tastes will mature too . . . and he'll realize how lucky he is to have a talented mother who can make really stylish clothing.
I agree with the celtic knitter. When Kyle matures a little more, he will definitely take that sweater back from you! :-)
