Watching TAR14 with Wannietta - part le 4

A blind U-Turn!!! Oh My God! - we're going to see a lot more U-turning this race. I mean, it's a lot easier to play dirty when it's anonymous (until y'all get home & watch it on TV that is).

RussianSiberia - thinking about that makes me feel warm here in Canada.
Krasnoyarsk hydroelectric dam.

ShockedROTFL
Jamie & Cara suck at faking being airline reservations - they could've totally had Mark & Micheal psyched out!
There certainly are a lot of different flights to Moscow from Bucharest!
I guess that big jump means that everyone made their connections & caught the flight to Krasnoyarsk. Okay then ... how far behind are the 2nd group?
Quite a bit - the waiting at the dam didn't bring them all together.
Stack or Construct
Stacking doesn't seem so hard, and I'm sure that while Kerwyn would be aces at the shutter building I'd have to roll with the stacking.
I'm sure that they love
Smiley Flag - coming over and doing their work for them for nothing! I'd love them too.
Are Mark & Micheal going to be able to stack a pile that high?
The
Vodka in that punch seems to serve a dual purpose - keeping your blood from freezing in your veins & making the work seem like a whole lot more fun!
Victor is strangely quiet so far.
Oh crap - that has got to suck. Do they have to re-stack the exemplar woodpile too?
I don't know - the Russian guy's hand signals didn't seem clear.
Stoopid commercials!
Thumbs Down

Since the other teams haven't arrived yet, Mark & Micheal might be alright for time still - I think that switching tasks is a good decision.
Christie & Jodi are wood stacking queens!
I dunno - what's in it for the cabbie to drive faster?
Hmmmm - wander around, find the "repair needed" sign, walk back & get the shutters & then walk back to the dilapidated house again.
Good on Jen & Kisha!!
Alright - the U-Turn!!! This should be very, very interesting.
Flattery get you a hug.
You might be in the lead, but I think that no matter how big your lead is there is no such thing as a safe lead, especially with a Road Block still to complete.
I'll bet that Victor knows everything about stacking wood.
I'm sure that seeing the letters on a Bobsled bobsled course & remembering them is a lot harder than it sounds.
Playwright my ass - Chekov was a navigator with a quirky sense of humour.
At least they're using English letters instead of Cyrillic.
It's not like Amanda is just standing around - she's handing Kris wood.
Some of those stacks are looking pretty shaky.
DuhIt's like Wheel of Fortune - you don't have to know the whole word to start sounding it out.
And the piles all start tumbling down like dominoes.

Geez Jamie - what'd you want Cara to do ... jump in front of falling wood?
The little woodsman in the shutter hut looks quite doubtful of Mark & Mike's shutter-building abilities.
Hurry up & walk away before the wind blows your stack over Margie & Luke!!
Victor & Tammy are moving on.
"We love you guys, but ..." Margie & Luke are trying to make themselves feel better by saying that they used the U-turn to help Jamie & Cara. Whatever.
Kisha isn't just another pretty face!
I mean really, how many ways can you reasonably put C-O-K-V-H-E together?
Hopefully Mark & Mike remember how they put the shutters together.
Luke is having a great time - I wonder if he remembers that he's supposed to be looking for letters?
ARGH!!! I was rooting for Kisha & Jen to be
We're Number One.
Well of course Victor immediately thought of Chekov.
Poor Luke. I could picture Kyle chucking the letters like frisbies & catching the next flight home.
And Jamie & Cara are done stacking wood!

Mark & Mike, Mel & Mike and Amanda & Kris - the blind leading the blind!!
Blind
That freakin' sucks - having to do the task that you didn't want to do.
Better to be lucky than good, eh Jamie?
I just love seeing Phil signing!!
Oh yeah, Margie & Luke are just all busted up about the U-turn. NOT!!!

Not an especially exciting leg of the race but they can't all be edge-of-the-seaters.

#1 - Christie & Jodi
#2 - Kisha & Jen
#3 - Tammy & Victor
#4 - Margie & Luke
#5 - Jamie & Cara
#6 - Mel & Mike
#7 - Mark & Micheal
Goodbye
#8 - Amanda & Kris

Summation of Work

We the willing, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have done so much for so long with so little that we are now qualified to do anything with nothing.

Shelly & I fully expect that we will be asked to remove these signs (we have them pinned up on our bulletin boards) by the end of the day.
It's totally worth it!!!

So, when was the last time that you went to camp?

OMG Faint - not only am I going to camp, I'm going to be a teacher!! And not only am I going to be a teacher, I'm going to be teaching with Fiona Ellis & Cookie A!!!!!
Julie's Gone Stitchin' is now Camp Knit Away - a chance to get away and knit and just like camp, you get to be with your best friends & make new ones.
I Love Camp I have a feeling that these classes are going to sell out fast. Get in while the getting in is easy.

Btw, did everyone have a great square root day yesterday?Nerd Yes, it was just another nail in the "you are so freakin' weird" coffin at work!

And like I wasn't tired enough, we're losing an hour of sleep this weekend - I really hate the 'spring ahead' part of Daylight Saving Time.
Yawn

Watching TAR14 with Wannietta - part le 3

A decent leave time - those 2:00AM leave times mess up my body clock.
On to Romania.
Romania
Luke needs to learn lip-reading - that'd totally be an excellent skill.
Poor Margie ... Budapest is in Hungary.
There are a bunch of doubting Thomases in Austria, and unfortunately it's rubbed off on Brad & Victoria. I love Amanda & Kris - "No, we'll make it, we're fast!"
Tammy & Victor are off with an excellent lead! Oh snap!!
I
Beating Heart Amazing Race airport equalizing.
Hopefully Brad & Victoria will have better luck.
Duh
I guess not. I wonder how far behind this will put them?

"It is what it is." Brad is my kinda guy!
Balance BeamKerwyn & I would be pretty much up the river of excrement in a native American watercraft without an instrument of propulsion right here.Parallel Bars
If I did all of those gymnastics skills I'd be totally keeping the uniform!Floor
All that yoga got Mike through quite smoothly.
Yeah, but Victor knows everything Tammy, woman's intuition can't count for much.
And everyone knows that going around is so much quicker than finding the front entrance.
Wow! A man, who is also a lawyer who is willing to ask for directions.
Faint
You'd think that a basketball Basketball 1 player would have stronger arms.
Tammy's doing cartwheels like I would. Shut Up Victor - I mean really, can you do a cartwheel???
Yes Tammy, you should slap him upside the head. "I think that your brain froze."
Kicking Dirt

I can't decide if Jamie & Cara are still trying to use Luke somehow or if they are genuine.
Gypsy Moves or Vampire Remains
Gypsies have a lot of stuff and some of it might be awkward to move, and those horses ... I think that I'd roll with the Vampire Remains.
Why would a cabbie say that he knows a place that he doesn't? 'Cause he wants the fare?!!!
A car body? Like I said - awkward to move.
Mike & Mel need to more carefully consider Mel's physical limitations when they're picking tasks.
That Gypsy woman is killing herself laughing - the wagons aren't very well packed and stuff is falling off all over.
I wonder if the stuff has to arrive unbroken?
Tire skis - cool.
Geez Victor - would it kill you to slow down, listen to Tammy and give her opinion some weight?
Sorry Amanda, what? "We'll get the fanny pack later."??
That's a cute little cottage with an amazing view!!
What's with TAR14 and the taking things downhill? Someone's going to get run over with a coffin.
Vampire
Good idea Victor. You're pretty sure that you're going the wrong way at this point, but you aren't going to turn back. Rolling Eyes
I don't want to stereotype, but they're gypsies!!!
And that's the sad thing Victor, you still think that you're right!
No
It's a fanny pack Kris - just leave it on.
We're Number OneGood on Mel & Mike!!!
I'm sure that he'll admit that he's wrong when you walk into the Hungarian, Serbian, Bulgarian or Ukrainian border Tammy.

And what's poor Tammy supposed to do? They have to stay together and at least this way she can totally blame him for the rest of their lives.
A broken & crying Victor is a bit scary & a lot pitiful.
Unbelievable - Victor is asking if Tammy needs to stop for a break!
And being all macho with dragging the coffin down by himself.
Finding that key on the hillside was like finding the proverbial needle in the haystack.
Duh Victor may never admit that he made a monumental error and that listening to Tammy a lot sooner would have been beneficial.
Brad & Victoria fought hard but couldn't overcome a missed connection and fog delay.

#1 - Mel & Mike
#2 - Amanda & Kris
#3 - Kisha & Jen
#4 - Margie & Luke
#5 - Mark & Micheal
#6 - Christie & Jodi
#7 - Jamie & Cara
#8 - Tammy & Victor

Liz has a Romanian Bean Soup with Bacon & Chard for you over at Savory Spicy Sweet to match this weeks leg of the race.

Another Celebrity Apprentice? I'll give it about 15 minutes to make me DVR it.
