Okay - I bought stuff, but it's totally excellent!
Knitting keeps me grounded, distracted, happy and productive. Being fast just helps me support my habit ... I knit like everyone else, one stitch at a time and I love each and every one of them.

CSNF 1
I was in classes most of yesterday - Creative Jewellery Art where I got all blingy with the
Swarovski crystals, a wool cross stitch class with Teresa Wentzler and a 3-D snowflake class (meh).
Today I'm in with Teresa again for a Dragon Scissor Fob then I can hit the show floor.
The presentation last night by Kayla Kennington was best enjoyed by the sewers and costumers, but Jodi & I made the best of it. I got quite a bit of knitting done on my latest secret project.
I was down amongst the vendors for a few minutes and Joe at the SWTC booth had a tattoo for me! I felt a bit slighted that we didn't have the eye-candy that they had at Stitches Midwest handing out the tats, but I got over it when he gave me a ball of Therapi for my swatching pleasure!! I'll let you know tonight what I think of that.
Shouts out to Shannon & Kittynne!!

Watching TAR with Wannietta - III
I would really love to see Mark & Bill kick Ken & Tina to the curb & come in 1st tonight!
It'll be the new threat on the street - "Back off biotch or I'll throw your sports bra away!"
Sarah's a quick study - 3rd leg and she's getting that it's not a popularity contest & that they're competing against the other teams & not with them.
Laughing at other people makes me feel better every time too.
I'm not sure if they're underestimating you & Brooke, Marissa. They may be exactly estimating you.
I wonder if Ken & Tina will be all about whoever got there 1st gets to go out 1st?
It would take more than Nick pouring on the sweet school-boy charm
to get over losing a sports bra. That's serious shit - you don't mess with a woman's support garment.
I bet the divorcee's are wishing that they'd rolled with Nick & his charm a bit.
Good idea Tina - as fast as you can in gridlock.
Musical March or Bumpy Ride
Are you kidding me? Musical March all the way!! Those "locally made bikes" look positively prehistoric.
(no offense to any of my Neanderthal readers)
Oh Snap!! Mis-reading those clues (or not reading them in their entirety) will get you every single time!
I wonder how far Mark & Bill will go before they realize? Will they actual get to the finish line & have to serve a time penalty?
Fred Flintstone brakes!
Maybe you could get them to tap out a faster beat?
Careful what you wish for Terence - all downhill may not be a good idea.
Do you think that the feathers are for some sort of areodynamic thing - like feathers on an arrow? Or maybe just a sick sense of humour?
Terence certainly does have quite the persecution complex - it seems like everyone is out to get him.
What marching band doesn't try to keep up to the cute cheerleaders?
Silly Frat Boys!
Dirty pool trying to get Ty & Aja to do your dirty work for you.
Karma Starr ... think about the Karma!
There ya go! You don't really need to U-turn the Divorcees.
Gotta love the cabbies
- lost
, empty tanks and broke-down jallopies!
Fighting Cholitas!!!
They look like they mean business!
LMAO - he doesn't want to fight a girl. He better get into the spirit of it - they look like tough cookies.
It's like a 3 Stooges routine
or a comedic WWF.
Poor Mark & Bill, so blissfully unaware of the hole that they're getting deeper into by the minute.
Overheating & empty!
Marissa is not getting into this.
Oh yeah - way to stir up the trouble stew Aja.
See - now Dallas is having a great time!
Frat Boy looks like he's enjoying throwing that Cholita around.
Mark - work it out!
Aw man!! They're not going to have enough time to serve out a penalty ... if they get that lucky.
If Bill had his knitting the waiting
would still be nerve wracking but at least it would be productive.
Damn - bloody Tina won again.
Life & relationships are always enjoyable when you're ahead of the pack Ken. It's how you (and Tina) handle the bad times that will make or break your marriage.
But Phil did say "may" be eliminated ... this could be a non-elimination leg.
I love the cabbie races ... like they care if the Americans get anywhere fast!
That's quite the hat that the finish line lady is sporting - bright and feathery!
30 minutes - they're totally screwed.
Missing one little thing is sad - especially when that one little thing is exactly what you said you were going to take your time & do at the start of the race.
That's totally a shame - they were such a great team!
I'm glad that Kelly & Christy are still in it. I'm sure they and Nick & Starr will keep it interesting next week.

Watching TAR with Wannietta - II
Can Terence lose his "poor me" whining attitude?
Will we not hear about Ken cheating ways?
Do Nick & Starr tire of their new "mom & dad"?
Stay tuned for answers to these questions & more!
Cool - beach time!
If Starr had knitting I think that she'd be a better passenger.
Yeah, that's one's a gusher Terence. And head wounds are known for their bleediness too. I'm surprised that he didn't go to the extent of calling a medic.
I'm all for the girl power - smart girl power.
Oh, so now you want to talk to someone Terence.
Ooooo - a free-for-all on the seat selection.
Strategy is very important. "Lose the loser mentality" could be a winning strategy.
Did I hear Ken right? He thinks that the ticked agent reserved their seats? I thought that it was 1st come 1st served.
I'm sure that even if everyone believes that Tina was instrumental in getting a bigger plane on the flight I'm equally sure that it will get her nowhere telling everyone who will listen to her.
That was really sweet of Ken to man up and defend Tina. Should score him some brownie points.
Awwww - kissing & making up!
Sign reading is very key in TAR. Kerwyn would totally be the member of our team in charge of really reading things.
Marissa (or is it Brooke?) - lucky doesn't equal smart.
Cool - dune buggies!!
That was kind of poetic - "The rain was like God showering us with love & joy".
Anthony totally ruined an epiphanic moment.
Beach It or Dock It
Beach It - Kerwyn being an engineer has a lot of mental acuity - he'd have us rolling that boat right!
Good on Mark & Bill going with their geeky strengths!
I don't think that lifting bottles to your mouth counts toward strength training.
Dude does an awesome Yoda impression!!
Frat Boy hasn't lost the loser mentality yet.
Kelly & Christy are not rolling with the smart girl power that I thought they had. I wonder how long they'll look for the container from the other task?
Thinks that you should have just run up the hill Terence.
What did I miss? When did Ken yell?
Tina sure can go from 0 to bitch in about 3 seconds flat though.
But they're not broke down. Maybe Tina needs to think about the Race part of The Amazing Race.
I almost feel bad for the Belles.
Why Aja & Ty are putting a little peppa in their steps I don't know.
"parquet de blah blah yadda" Anthony is funny!
Tina may not be the best one for this task.
Bill had a great strategy - too bad that Tina lucked into it.
Let's see where Tina's sense of fair play is now! Yeah, that's what I thought.
Kelly & Christy are just digging that hole deeper!
Well, at least Ken & Tina can split the 2 ATV evenly after the race.
Mark is very sweet - even if he didn't mean it he said it.
Nick was a jerk - you don't offer to pool resources and then ditch when you realize that the other person has nothing to bring to the table.
WTG Aja!!
Serves you right to see everyone leaving before you Nick!
Frat Boy is still working with a Loser Mentality. Go with your instincts grasshopper.

Sorry? Who said that you weren't going to work with any other team? I believe that was all you Terence.
Nick won't go back. As if!! Karma's a bitch Nick.
I'm surprised that the nice man understood what the Belle said - she totally butchered that pronunciation!
I don't think that I'll miss Anthony & Stephanie - they were very non-descript.
You're lucky that you finally put Stephanie on that list of "grateful for" Anthony. Although I don't know how happy she'll be to be 4th after your looks though.
Terence is still a whiner.
We're still reminded of Ken's infidelity.
Nick & Starr are still working with Ken & Tina, though Nick'd put an end to that in a New York minute if he thought that it would get him ahead.

Hitting the Links
I'm off to play golf with Kyle this morning.
It's a local bus operator event, so there will be other office staff & managers from Sinton, Parkview & First Student there as well as my area manager. I really do hope that they meant it when they said that it was for fun because I'll be not so much playing golf as swinging around a club in a golf-like manner in between knitting on the cart ride between holes.
Fortunately, while Kyle doesn't have his actual drivers license, he should be able to chauffeur me around the course.
Here is a picture of my Annetrelac Socks that I finished last month.
I think that I almost like the reverse side best.
What do you think?
I've working on a nice, plain pair of Stockinette stitch socks now
- the yarn is Sock Hop from Crown Mountain Farms, the colour is Ain't no Mountain High Enough. They are really lovely change from patterned socks.
I've also cast on a fair isle (not in the purest sense of the definition) cardigan by Fiona Ellis for Beth. I'm using Naturally's Vienna & Harmony 10ply.
The deadline is going to be a challenge (OMG - I'm using corporate PC lingo in my real life!) but I'm pretty sure that I'm equal to it, after all, next weekend is a long weekend!!
I have also just sent of a beret to Elise in The Netherlands. It's for the opening at
Stitches East so you'll have to settle for my "Raspberry Beret" until then.
